I realize I am a little late to the party on this one but I this incident really struck me so I have been having the urge to write about it.
For those of you who do not know, Ronnie Radke (former singer of Escape the Fate and current singer of Falling in Reverse) threw not just one but THREE microphone stands at the audience at the end of Falling in Reverse's performance at the Six Flags FestEVIL music festival in Jackson, New Jersey. Due to his foolish actions, two people were injured: a sixteen year old girl (who suffered a two- to -three inch cut on the top of her head and bruising on her forehead) and a twenty four year old man (who is being treated for his injuries).
First off, I've never really had a very good opinion about Radke anyways. I've always considered him as a trashy, irresponsible individual who clearly does not make good decisions. As for music, I honestly have tried to get into Falling in Reverse because a lot my friends really like them but I couldn't. His voice is so whiney and it really bugged me listening to him. I respect people for liking his music because everyone has a right to like what the want especially when it comes to music, but please be aware that this guy is really up to no good and should not be looked upon as a God.
Now that I have my opinion of him out there, now let's talk about the incident. How the hell did Radke think it would be a good idea to throw mic stands into the audience?! Mic stands are very heavy and can do a lot of damage but did that ever cross his mind? No. Yeah, I know people get into the music a little too much and may become rebellious, but even the most rebellious metal and punk bands don't even go that far. There is absolutely no excuse for what he did and my heart goes out to those who were injured. What bugs me is that people still adore him and will always be by his side even when he hurts innocents. Even those people need to understand that what he did was wrong.
People might say, "he is just that type of performer, he is known for doing stuff like that" or "Maybe he was expecting someone to catch it". Sure, he may be "that type of performer and known for his reckless behavior but still, he really needs to think about the audience's safety. If he pulls more shit like that, he could be
arrested for involuntary manslaughter. Even if he was expecting the crowd to catch the
mic stand, he should have thought about how freaking heavy a mic stand is and it is
extremely unlikely for a swarm of people who are already distracted by the music to catch
the mic stand. I don't care if he is "that kind of performer", the fact that two innocents
were harmed at the concert, where they just came there to listen to bands they like.
There are NO excuses for what Ronnie did, despite whether or not this is "normal" for
him. If he keeps this up, more innocents will be harmed and maybe even DIE.
All that aside, the Jackson Six Flags officials placed a ban on future metal shows and I do feel for those who were injured, but I think it is wrong to ban all future metal shows just because one musician acted out. Falling in Reverse is not a metal band anyways, they are a post hardcore band (yes, there is a difference, research genres before you confuse the two) and not all bands like that would put lives in jeopardy. As I said before, even the most badass punk and metal bands wouldn't do what Radke did. What I really don't like is how the officials believe that music from that certain genre would have incidents where fans get harmed. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of concerts where many injuries take place but that isn't ALL bands. If the officials feel the need to ban a type of music, they should at least stick to the right genre and ban post hardcore bands. I have a lot of friends who go to shows like that and many have witnessed people getting hurt/injured but from mosh pits, which is a risk for fans to take, whereas they have no choice when three mic stands are crashing down on top of them. For the record, I know not all post hardcore bands are like that, but if they are going to ban a genre, they should at least ban the genre Falling in Reverse is in. There are so many respectable metal, punk, and rock bands out there who deserve more credit and more fans than the various pop acts that are highly inappropriate.
And to wrap this up, Ronnie Radke: love him or hate him, he still did something extremely wrong that put his own fans- the people who are responsible for his success's live in jeopardy. Believe what you want, but my opinion stands.

Bringing emotional abuse more into the spotlight.. it HAS to be taken seriously under any circumstances
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
PLEASE READ.
I dealt with emotional abuse when I was very young (14-15 years old) and two years later, I still have the scars my ex boyfriend (who was 16-17 years old) left on me. Looking back, I did not know I was in an emotionally abusive relationship because he manipulated me so much that I overlooked all the signs and it tore me up emotionally. He tried to change me into his perception of “an ideal woman”, he constantly pressured me into having sex with him and doing “things” with him (I still felt this even when he was not pressuring me and I never had sex with him), he made me feel as though I was not good enough, he constantly toyed at my insecurities, yet he claimed he loved me. He masked himself as the ideal guy that everyone would fall for (charming, cunning, etc.) but his emotional abuse still plagues me today. It made me develop so many trust issues and I felt like I had no where else to go when he broke my heart. I am still fighting the emotional abuse to this day and I am getting back to who I really am.
Fast forward two years and I am currently dating the most wonderful guy in the world. He treats me the way I should be treated and loves me for who I am. It is such a huge relief that I can finally be me and be unconditionally loved. I am happy.. something I never really experienced with the emotionally abusive ex boyfriend. My current boyfriend makes me feel beautiful and I thank him so much for dealing with the ghosts of my past.
I am not trying to gain sympathy or attention, I am just sharing my experience on how painful it was to be emotionally abused and teaching others that this is just as serious as physical abuse, which is most common in the media.
Attention all of you: Never, I repeat, NEVER EVER let someone try to control you. You are each special in your own way, don’t try to change to make someone feel happy. No matter what, this is NOT love regardless of what emotional abuser says. Also, take the relationship at your own pace.. if the person truly loves you, they would wait instead of constantly pressure you.

"All boys suck!" "All girls suck!" <- my opinion
"Omg all boys suck!"
"Omg all girls suck!"
I'm sorry, but people who say this could not be any more incorrect.
There are girls and boys out there who are truly wonderful people but they get mixed up with
all the bad boys and girls merely because the person/people who says/say have not went out
with a person who really would make a great partner. I know that relationships can be
hard and stressful, but the reason why they can be so stressful is because the person is not
dating the right kind of boys or girls. A girl may say, "All the guys I have dated are douche
bags," and that may be true, but does that count as every guy in the universe? No, it does
not. A boy may say, "All the girls I have dated are sluts and/or bitches," and once again, that
may be true, but it does not mean that all girls are like that. If someone has multiple failed
relationships, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a significant other.

Dear girls,
surely, there are guys out there who are horrible people but not all of them are. I am sick and tired of hearing girls constantly complain and cry about their boyfriend just because they said a few things that they shouldn't have, that they are friends with other girls, and that they might hang out with someone you don't approve of. No one is perfect and sometimes people say the wrong things, but there is no use dwelling on it, especially when he says sorry. A guy also has the liberty of being friends with other girls, even if you don't like their friends and just because guys are friends with other girls, it does not necessarily mean that they are cheating on you. Love and trust go hand in hand, if you can't even him being around other girls because you are so afraid that he is cheating on you, then you don't love him. And stop saying that all guys are horrible monsters, just because you have had more than one rocky relationship, it does not mean that all guys are like that, it just means that you are going for the wrong guys. There are plenty of wonderful guys in the world, but all girls seem to care about these days are looks and how cute they would look together.

Self Injury Awareness day (March 1st)
"Tomorrow, March 1st, is Self-Injury Awareness Day.
Myth: People who cut and self-injure are trying to get attention.
Fact: The painful truth is that people who self-harm generally do so in secret. They aren’t trying to manipulate others or draw attention to themselves. In fact, shame and fear can make it very difficult to come forward and ask for help.
Myth: People who self-injure are crazy and/or dangerous.
Fact: It is true that many people who self-harm suffer from anxiety, depression, or a previous trauma—just like millions of others in the general population. Self-injury is how they cope. Slapping them with a “crazy” or “dangerous” label isn’t accurate or helpful.
Myth: People who self-injure want to die.
Fact: Self-injurers usually do not want to die. When they self-harm, they are not trying to kill themselves—they are trying to cope with their pain. In fact, self-injury may be a way of helping themselves go on living. However, in the long-term, people who self-injure have a much higher risk of suicide, which is why it’s so important to seek help.
Myth: If the wounds aren’t bad, it’s not that serious.
Fact: The severity of a person’s wounds has very little to do with how much he or she may be suffering. Don’t assume that because the wounds or injuries are minor, there’s nothing to worry about.
More information about self-harm can be found [here].

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE."
Since, tomorrow is self-injury awareness day, I decided to talk to you guys about my experience and understanding with self- injury...
Although I have never physically hurt myself, I have thought about it so many times over the past four years. I have thought about killing myself and came really close to deciding which way would be best to take my own life. I have injured myself, but instead of physical scars, they are emotional scars and although they are aiming towards people with physical scars, it does say "self injury", which can be used to describe constantly tearing yourself apart so much that you can't stand to be yourself. I have dealt with that for such a long time and it has really damaged me, which is why I believe this is "self- harm" (You are harming yourself by emotionally and verbally attacking yourself). I do know people who have self harmed themselves too. They are the people who do not deserve to be treated so poorly that it has pushed them over the edge. It pains me how they are already going through so much crap in their lives, yet people decide to joke around and call them "attention whores." Many have a lack of understanding how truly awful self harming is and choose to make fun of it. Personally, I instantly lose respect when someone makes fun of cutting or other forms of self- harm. People need to take self-harm seriously. More understanding can save lives and help stop someone from self- harming.
And to the people who have/are currently harming themselves, I know the going gets really tough but trust me, things will get better. I have been down a similar route and trust me, it is an extremely tough thing to go through but all the pain is worth it in the end. No life stays bad forever and although you are losing hope that things will ever get better, trust me, they really do. Just remember that you are special because there is only one of you in this world and that you are not alone. If anyone has self- harmed or is thinking about it, you can talk to me and I will do the best I can to help you with whatever is going on. I care about you, even if I don't know you.
...And stay beautiful ~

My opinion: government
i am pro choice, that does not necessarily mean i am for abortion but if a woman wants to do that, it's her choice.. whether she is a rape victim or just a young girl who made a mistake or maybe even a young couple who gave into temptation. The government should not be allowed to say what's right and what's wrong if it is a woman's choice. Same thing goes with contraception. And sorta tags along with gay marraige, if a same sex couple wants to get married, LET THEM BECAUSE MARRIAGE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT LOVE. America claims they are "free?" f*ck that bullsh*t. We are not free if the government regulates everything, whether it is one's personal choice or not. We cannot let the government take control of every choice we have, it is just wrong and hypocritical because of the fact that America stands for "equal rights."
Like I said, this is my opinion and people should respect that. I'm sorry if any of this is offensive but this is what I think.
GOD F*CKING BLESS AMERICA
