I really, really love Borders because of the wide selection of books, music, dvds, etc. I love to read and since borders wasn't far from my house, I could just go there instead of going to my local library, which doesn't have much books and it is really dinky. Because of the big sales, I ended up getting six books: Shade by Jeri Smith Ready, Smile For The Camera by Kelle James, Daughters Of The Moon by Lynne Ewing, Kissed By An Angel by Elizabeth Chandler, Tweak: Growing Up On Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff, and Teeth: Vampire Tales with stories by Genevieve Valentine, Steve Berman, Christopher Barzak, Neil Gaiman ,Delia Sherman,Garth Nix ,Suzy McKee Charnas,Kaaron Warren ,Cecil Castellucci ,Jeffrey Ford ,Nathan Ballingrud ,Kathe Koja ,Catherynne M. Valente ,Melissa Marr ,Ellen Kushner ,Cassandra Clare ,Holly Black ,Lucius Shepard ,Emma Bull, and Tanith Lee (thanks to copy and paste, I was able to list them all) and I will definitely get to them as soon as I finished my summer reading, which shouldn't take long. A few days ago, my mom also got me another book called Go Ask Alice. There are still books I have not read that I've owned for a while and some of them I've never completed, so I will definitely have books to read during the school year. I also cannot wait until Ellen Hopkins' new book, Perfect comes out, Ellen Hopkins is such an amazing author and I am proud to say that I own/have read all of her books so far.
In other news, Evanescence is officially back! WOO HOO! I just love that band and the singer, Amy Lee is my idol. Their music is magical to me and Amy's voice is just so breath taking, haunting, and beautiful! They have released snippets of 3 of their songs: "What You Want", which will be the single, "The Other Side", and "lost in paradise." I am just so ecstatic that they are finally coming out with new music! I have very high expectations from the album and I know that the album (self titled Evanescence) will be amazing. GO AMY LEE!
I have also almost got my Patty from Soul Eater cosplay all together, basically all I need is the wig and hopefully I can decorate my white hat to make it look like Patty's. I am a huge fan of soul eater and I am so happy that I get to cosplay as her! She is my favorite girl character and in my top favorites in Soul Eater because of her cuteness and craziness! I will definitely post pictures of it on here as well as my deviant art.
I have also been chosen to be a model for a portrait by a fellow deviant http://clarian.deviantart.com/ and I am just so excited that he is going to be drawing me! so far, the rough sketch of me looks really neat and I cannot wait until he is finished! I really like how I am holding a dove and a raven, which has been used to symbolize yin and yang.
I also really want to give a shout out to a good friend I met at Anime Boston, a cosplayer by the name of Misa On Wheels (Her real name is Amanda) . I really like her, not only because she is adorable and good at cosplay, there is also something really special about her, and I noticed when I first glanced at her while I was leaving the convention. She had the biggest smile on her face and wow, she really did look great in her Misa cosplay. Well, I probably should go to bed now, since it is past 1AM and I don't have anymore to talk about, except for the fact that my mom is gonna come home from Florida tomorrow (or should I say today) and I am really happy because I miss her, I am probably gonna hang out with a friend I have not seen in a long time on Saturday and on Sunday, I am leaving for Niagara Falls and I am staying there for a few days.
